Welcome to Fezile Dabi District Municipality
The Fezile Dabi District Municipality was established following the local government elections in December 2000. The district Municipality was established as a category C municipality in terms of the Provincial Gazette issued in December 2000. The Municipality was established with a council of 32 members as the Executive Mayoral type of a municipality.
Fezile Dabi District Municipality consist of an Executive Mayor, Municipal Manager, Speaker of the Municipality and is structured politically into six portfolio committees and administratively into six departments to ensure that the vision, strategy objectives of the District Municipality are achieved.

The Corporate Services Department is responsible for providing effective and efficient high standard administration and support by maintaining good corporate image of the institution and create fertile ground for the municipality to be able to deliver in its administrative duties.

The Department of Finance is responsible for providing efficient and effective financial administration of the FDDM finances within the prescribe of the Municipal Finance Management Act, Supply Chain Management Regulations, and various other legislation and regulations as promulgated from time to time.
The department Project Management & Public Works strives to, amongst other things, through liaison with all participating local bodies and other spheres of government, to apply the limited funds to its disposal in the best possible way to raise the living standard for all in its district.
